The Adam and Seth Herzog fund was established in memory of the children of Nancy Saltzman, who passed away along with Nancy’s beloved husband Joel, in a tragic plane crash in 1995. The fund is used for areas of greatest organizational need.

As a Kidpower board member from 1995 to 2012, serving as president from 2001 to 2010, Nancy has been instrumental in helping Kidpower grow from a start-up local nonprofit organization to the dynamic and valued resource it is today. Nancy offered outstanding support and guidance with remarkable dedication to Kidpower’s mission. Nancy tirelessly took the Kidpower message into the community, in part drawing from her own family’s experience in a Kidpower workshop.

Despite suffering enormous personal tragedies, Nancy has devoted her life to the well-being of children. As a longtime award-winning educator, her continued extraordinary commitment to Kidpower demonstrates her understanding of the importance of personal safety for children to be able to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

In 2013, the Kidpower board of directors honored Nancy with the role of President Emeritus on Kidpower’s Advisory Board where her welcome counsel continues.
