Kidpower Weekend Family Workshop for young people ages 7-12

The most comprehensive (and fun!) Kidpower class, this workshop is limited to 16 students, which allows each child personal attention and practice of every skill presented. This program incorporates a wide range of personal safety techniques including awareness skills, boundary-setting and physical self-protection skills with our head-to-toe padded instructors.

Fee: $260 per child, including parents and guardians. Discount for siblings in the same class. (Payment plans, credit card payment and scholarships available.)

Teenpower Violence Prevention Workshop for teens ages 13-18

This four-hour workshop provides a safe and supportive environment for participants to learn and practice emotional and physical safety techniques. Students learn skills for healthy relationships and to set boundaries in uncomfortable or unsafe situations, including peer pressure, verbal attack and harassment. The teen men’s class emphasizes de-escalation techniques. Workshops also use a head-to-toe padded instructor to give students the opportunity for realistic and safe practice of simple and effective self-defense.

Fee: $110 per teen for 4-hour class. (Payment plans, credit card payment and scholarships available.)

Starting Strong Parent-Child Workshop for children ages 4-6

This workshop introduces simple, important everyday safety skills through storytelling, puppets and interactive role-plays, and guides adults in practicing these skills with their children. At least one parent or guardian is required to attend with their child/children.

Fee: $45 per child, including adults. (Payment plans, credit card payments and scholarships available.)

All Starting Strong workshops are 9am – 11am.
